Angelica Panganiban, a Filipino American model and actress, who also works as a television hostess and comedian. Panganiban is dubbed the "new queen of Drama" by many media outlets. Panganiban is also regarded as one of the Philippines the most skilled and diverse actors. This was due to a serious strep infective bacteria. Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Egleston was able to place her on ECMO care for life-saving treatment. She developed multiple organ failures, and her kidneys didn't recover. Her new normal was the peritoneal, and later hemodialysis. After nearly 80 days in the hospital from near-death to long road to recovery, she finally made it home but her life forever changed. Angelica had been being on dialysis for the past year and a half before finally being able to undergo the biggest operation of her existence, a kidney transplant. Her mother was the sole person who was able to donate a kidney. Angelica, along with her mother, went through successful kidney transplantation on the 13th of September, 2013 at two fantastic hospitals situated right next to each other - Emory University Hospital & Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Egleston. Angelica Hale, a young Atlantan girl who always dreamed of becoming an actress as well as a performer she is still working toward that goal.
